The monument represents the Indonesian’s struggle for freedom against the Dutch. The monument is 137 metres high. On the top is a flame-like made of 14,5 ton bronze coated with 35 kg of gold. It also represents the endless spirit of Indonesian people to fight and reach the freedom.
